I'll add to my story about Parkinson's as it progresses. Family is pretty important to me. Growing up in the suburbs 1/2 hour just north of NYC (New York City), we visited my dad's parents (my grandparents) and my Aunt and Uncle and cousins every year for various family holidays.

Years later my Aunt developed Parkinson's disease. I have witnessed first hand what Parkinson's can do to the human body. My Aunt's mind is all there, but Parkinson's has taken over a lot of her bodily functions.

I hope in the NEAR future there is a cure for this huge inconvenience for Parkinson's victims AND their FAMILIES everywhere.

Shortly I will add the link below to make a contribution toward research for Parkinson's and put an end to this inconvenience!

Additionally, I started in 2005 to run marathons with Team in Training and the LLS/Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. After 7+ marathons and more 1/2 marathons, I decided to run more marathons, improve my time, (from finishing as my goal to 5:57:00 for 26.2 miles) and run while I still can in honor of conditions and diseases that need MORE awareness. Recently I ran a race for Autism on June 27, 2009 with a Delray Beach, FL running team, Fusion Extreme Team. Our next team races are the Marathon of the Palm Beaches and the Disney World Marathon. For the next 4 to 5 months come back here and look for the link to contribute to my quest to stamp out Parkinson's. I would love to involve more community than 1 donor.
